The Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) is a pole of development and knowledge transfer for integrated care, research, teaching, assessment of technology and healthcare methodology, quality, health promotion, and patient experience. Starting in the fall of 2017, the CHUM will offer a renewed hospital experience in its new facility in downtown Montreal.

The new CHUM will be one of the most important healthcare facilities in North America. It will bring the staff and patients of Hôtel-Dieu, Notre-Dame, and St-Luc Hospitals all together under one roof. The new CHUM will house 772 individual rooms, 26 inpatient units, 36 operating rooms, 51 emergency beds and 320 outpatient examination rooms. It was designed to meet the highest standards in modern medicine and reflect the architectural trends.

An event of this magnitude and significance calls for a magazine to match its massive scope. The special-edition launch magazine, published by CMS in partnership with the CHUM, celebrates the completion of construction and a new chapter in this history of healthcare, research and teaching in Montreal. Every page will profile aspects of a state-of-the-art hospital humming with activity.

Proceeds from the launch magazine will be donated to the CHUM Foundation. As such, project partners will not only be gaining valuable exposure, they will be supporting a world-class medical facility, team of professionals and their fellow Montrealers.
